This merit-based scholarship, worth £5,000 per year, is offered to international-fee-paying students* applying for (or progressing onto) an undergraduate degree** at the University of Leicester who achieve or exceed the academic grades outlined below.

Eligibility Requirements
Must be starting a full-time undergraduate programme at the University of Leicester, UK campus commencing in September 2026. Must have made Leicester your 'firm choice' by Tuesday 30 June 2026. All conditions of your offer must be met no later than Thursday 20th August 2026. Must be classed as an international student for fee purposes. Excluding Medicine, LLB Maitrise, STEM International Foundation and 'International Year 1' courses.

Must be starting a full-time undergraduate programme at the University of Leicester, UK campus commencing in September 2026 for year one, two or three of your undergraduate programme for a maximum of three years. Must have made Leicester your 'firm choice' by 30 June 2026. You should achieve the equivalent to two grades above the standard A-level entry requirement. All conditions of your offer must be met by 20 August 2026. Must be classed as an international student for fee purposes. Excluding Medicine, LLB Maitrise, STEM International Foundation, 'International Year 1' courses and for programmes that exceed three years in duration.

Eligibility Requirements
Eligible applicants are international fee-paying applicants holding an offer to study a Postgraduate Taught Programme from September 2026 who are permanently domiciled in any country within Sub-Saharan Africa. Offer holders must possess a qualification of second class upper- or first-class degree (equivalent to UK 2:1 or 1st Class).
